Morse's painting of the House of Representatives), George W. Flagg, Samuel L. Gerry, Chester Harding, Charles C. Ingham, John F. Kensett, Thomas Le Clear, Joshua Shaw (advising Durand against the use of varnish, "the greatest curse which the arts have ever had to complain of"), John R. Smith, Thomas Sully, and John Trumbull.
